Why we built public roadmaps into the board
Status should not live in a slide deck. How FeedFr keeps planned work attached to real feedback posts.
Most teams already know what they plan to build. The hard part is showing that plan without maintaining a second system that drifts from reality.
In FeedFr, roadmap columns are driven by post status: Planned, In Progress, Shipped. When you update a post, the roadmap updates with it. Votes and discussion stay attached, so customers see not only the plan but the signal behind it.
Public roadmaps are optional. Private boards stay private. When you do share a roadmap URL, you reduce status pings and make prioritization easier to explain.
Transparency is not a marketing posture here. It is how the product stays honest as you ship.
